"My brother Charles and I are very proud to be founders and supporters of Mauli Ola. In 2007, we read a landmark article in the New England Journal of Medicine about the the healing nature of saline to those with cystic fibrosis (CF). We have been working with CF at Ambry Genetics since 1999 and surfing our entire lives, so when we learned that people with CF get actual relief and treatment from being in the ocean surfing, we decided immediately to combine both our professional and personal passions and create MOF. It started in Southern California through word of mouth amongst our surfers and we were able to connect the world's best watermen and waterwomen to children in need. MOF has grown to include children and hospitals in Hawaii, the Pacific Coast, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Atlantic. I have always recognized the benefit of creating balance in my employee's lives. Ambry Genetics employees have greatly embraced MOF. Many "fly our flag" daily with our hats, Tee-shirts, and attend our events. They know the blissful look on the child with CF that rides his or her first wave, and cheer them on. It is the best day at the beach. In 2015 we want to share our Ocean Experience Days with any child with a genetic condition that will benefit from the ocean's natural power. We are making MOF available to the best brands in the world, to allow us to reach more children in need."

Chiesi USA is part of a long history that began in 1935 in Parma, Italy. Giacomo Chiesi, a chemist, bought the Laboratorio Farmaceutico Parmense, determined to do research and develop drugs that were badly needed throughout Europe.
Just as the company began to expand and sell its products outside of Italy, World War II intervened, and the factory was destroyed in a bombing raid. After the war ended, Chiesi rebuilt and launched its first penicillin-based ointment, and by the mid-fifties a new factory had been constructed, where 50 employees manufactured a wide range of successful drugs.
In 1966, Mr. Chiesi handed over management of the company to his two sons, Alberto and Paolo, and they began what became a long period of expansion into international markets, including the United States, and into new therapeutic areas including neonatology and rare diseases.
